UBR Levels the Playing Field

Fuj, it would be against your personality not to do it the hard way buddy.
Jeff.....You should see what what I'm currently working on. I'll be able to
use a legit .224 target. Yeah; Easy has never been in my DNA.....LOL
I think the ELF may turn into a 6.5 But only if I can anchor down some
certain bullet types.

There games are what they are. I get t to pick which ones i play or don't play
So far I've liked them all that I've shot.
I will continue to respect "whose house I'm in"
I'll not berate nor attempt to discourage .

I do fun pick with others as they do me about the "teams" & who's who. That's the world of competition & companionship.

Old school .222 Remington......I have a plan for a new wildcat. Something
for the grandson ......
.222Mag if you could get brass. I had one years ago, it was very accurate. Get Zach fixed up. Good young man.

Love UBR as you can miss a 10 and still have a prayer if being competitive. Yet I wasn't able to build interest locally as there is no dark outer ring which is needed if you chose to use your HBR gun with its 6x scope that day.
Meanwhile I'll just take my favorite smoke pole and shoot under which ever rules the club is using.
I want to thank those who put in the additional effort needed to use caliber specific targets.

Danny Hensley in VA is where I got mine. I ordered 100 each of .22, .243 and .308. Great guy to do business with. I'll PM you his contact info. Don't want to post it in public in this day and age...

There's a website, just Google UBR Benchrest and you'll find all the information one could need. Match dates, match results, rules...etc.

The matches get a little tougher every year, bring your A game with you. Great matches and a great group of shooters, always good to see everyone and get caught up, especially at the nationals.

Also, a good friend of mine in Tomball acquired Ronnie Cheeks 22 bullet making dies, along with a whole bunch of jackets to make that great Cheeks 52 grn 22 bullet. He told me I could borrow them any time.

The Cheeks 52 is recognized as one of the finest 22 bullets.
I was wondering who ended up with Ronnie's equipment. Used to crack me up how he would aggravate the other old BR shooters at the Abilene club.
