U6MMBR brass?

I have a case of 25 boxes of 20 and 16 boxes of 20. I think that they are special 6BR brass. Do you know anything about them and what are they worth? Thanks Butch

Hi Butch,

I'll take a stab at your question. Most people today go with Lapua brass because of the quality. The Lapua is thicker than the Remington brass in the web area so the reamers today are mostly 6BR Norma. The Remington brass will work in the Norma chamber but the Lapua may not work in a Remington chamber.
The Remington brass won't take the pressure that the Lapua will also. Not to mention that the Lapua 6BR brass is as close to perfect as you could ask for,That's why you see the proliferation of "no turn" chambers lately)

WHat's the Remington brass worth? I'm not sure. I guess it's the case of "what the tariff will bear". Some guys shooting metallic silhouette with 6 or 7BR XP 100's might be interested, or perhaps some of the live varmint guys. Heck, if the price is right perhaps some benchresters may buy it just to play with. You can buy Lapua for $38-$43 per hundred, so maybe that will help.

Good to hear from you Danny. I guess that I was more interested in what they are as the part# is different than the regular 6BR and they have no flash holes. Maybe they will let you play with flash hole size? Butch

I recall Remington did make some that way, and if my memory is correct the only way you could buy it with the small primer pocket was already primed. I used to buy the special .308 brass they made with the small primer pocket to use to form 7BR's. What a chore! I don't miss making them one bit!

Anybody else out there know about the no flash hole stuff?
