two spotting scopes

i am wanting to use two spotting scopes as binos for long range spotting . I have a kowa now with the angled eye piece to is that ok to add another or should i start from scratch n add two straight ones?

There is a system to have two Kowas mounted in tandem. The Army team always have them at the Nationals, they are called "big eyes".

ya thats what got me thinking of using the one i had erud does anyone have experience on using the highlander and does anyone know who could make some mounts if i went that way

The only problem with the Solid Kowa's...you knock them slightly out of calimation and your screwed. the Big-eyes can be readjusted by tweaking each scope to bring them back to perfect allignement. Like this old pair I have, made about 16 years ago....and NO, they are not for sale. 32X and 50x eyepieces.....The small allen screws are used to adjust scopes. there is also a side screw to adjust for close set beady eyes or eyes like an Oger...wide apart , with lots of brain mass..........

These are the best I have ever seen - I love them...and so does everyone else who has ever bought them or looked thru them ;)

Straight are the only way to go...

Thanks for the info on the Big Eyes base attachment/holder,
I have looked for that base, but did not know what it was called,
several Desert sheep hunters had and was using them.

jason -
Are those Meopta scopes in your Big Eyes frame? I've owned a Kowa 661 for a number of years, and have looked through several of the 82mm 821M Kowas, but if I were going to set up a Big Eyes unit, I believe I'd go with something at least a step up from the Kowas - at least the ones with std glass. Maybe their Prominar series with ED glass would be OK, but I've heard a lot of positive things about the Meoptas.
