Two scales

Anyone running a two scale setup? Say 2 fx120’s with auto tricklers. I have the 1st version, love it but thinking about the new setup (gen 3) Saw some scales on sale for around $450 thought why not just set up another system I wont get anything out of the 1st gen thrower. (selling it) I would think they would be close enough together with that level of scale. (weight loads)

I am. Loving it. When loading long runs it’s a time saver even as fast as the system is especially if one has a misstep and drops a couple extra kernels. Even on short runs its great and helps speed things up. Necessary, not by a long shot...awesome if you can do it, absolutely

also, my buddy runs a double Autotrickler/Sarotius system and he feels the same way.

You know how you work and how the system works. You would know whether spending $450 and using a dual setup will help you.

At worst you would have an insta-backup scale . . . in fact a complete backup system. And, while this may well be my cynicism showing through ;), it would be easy to spend $450 on other, ultimately useless reloading accessories, so why not.

you know how OCD reloaders are do you ever have any doubt from scale to scale on the weights? I think using the same calibration weight will take a lot of that out and you could always spot check them against each other just your thoughts

why is scale on right so much slower at getting to final charge? Maybe you explained but where I’m at I couldn’t turn volume up

It takes a little bit of adjustment and they run a little closer together now Then at the time of that video. There is always an compromise between the slider switch on the back and the tilt of your AutoTrickler that affects how fast it dispenses. It honestly doesn’t bother me too much because they both get to the same reading either way and with two of them there is always one ready for me. That being said each one does have its own personality however slight that is.
