Two Bolts for the Same Action?

I am considering using 2 bolts (different faces) for the same XP action. One is the factory bolt (223 face) the other is a new PTG cone in 308 face. The action will be trued as well as the lug contact areas. My question, is this taboo if you want to preserve tolerances and will I end up with 2 sloppy fitting bolts instead of one tight true fitting bolt? Of course I plan to stock up o bolt lube for the lugs.

It's done a lot of time, keep them both greased up and you'll not be having any problems at all..

+1 on Preacher. I have one action that has 4 barrels & 2 bolts. You just have to headspace each bolt/barrel combo properly.

I have a 308 bolt and 223 bolt with barrels chambered for each. Works fine with absolutely no problems.
