The answer has probably been verified one way or the other but the greater the centrifugal force the greater the radial pressure throughout the length of the bore would be. Measurable....maybe. Don't think the twist rate affects throat erosion from heat and quantity of powder burned.....my thoughts.Do faster twist bullets wear out your barrel more than slower ones?
I take another view . Fast twists and heavier bullets combined with boat tails , do wear barrels faster .
