Twist Rate and Heat

Does the twist rate of a barrel effect how fast a barrel heats up? In general will a 14" twist barrel shooting light bullets take longer to heat up than a 10" twist shooting heavy bullets because of reduced friction?

In all my shooting & barrel heating up has been the volume of following shots, not the rate of twist.
Rate of fire equates to rate of heat, not rate of twist.

And to add to that, it is probably more rate of powder being burned than number of shots.

It's definitely the succession of explosions you build in your barrel, not the friction created by the bullet, that heats up your barrel.

...barrel wear is different, you'll probably get less shots-per-barrel-life out of your super-charged 22-250 than from your 416 Rigby, there friction and twist rate does make a difference, even though the 416 had bigger explosions per shot.

(...I want to shake the hand of anyone who shoots out a 416 Rigby barrel...o'couse he'll probably crush my hand)
