twist rate and 7mm 180 gr VLD

Doubtful at best. 1:9" is about a relaxed a twist as you want to go with them.

Yes they will we have 1000 yard shooters using them in 10 twist barrels and large magnums here in Australia i would not even try them with a RUM case and a 9 twist you will blow them into pieces also the 175gr Sierra will work well in the case and is more forgiving to load and harder to blow up. I would look at a 9.5 if possible but i have shot them in a 9.25" twist 22" long model7 in 7mm SAUM at 300 yards and 2" 5 shot groups.

The case is a bit big the best case is the RWS 8X68s case necked down to 7mm and improved it will give you awsome performance without being to overbore. The 7mm RUM AI is way to overbore and i would not try it as i have seen the results as a friend tried one the 8X68s wildcat was getting the same velocity in 32" barrels.

1/9 is the way to go. 1/10 will make it to 1k in calm weather but the lest little wind the groups get big.I had a freind that tryed a 1/10 with 180's he had to switch to 168's.then I think he still switched to a 1/9 barrel.as far as them blowing up I have driven them 3200 and didn't blow any up.:D

I don't have a direct spec chart here for the Berger 7mm 180 but I imagine that the JLK 7mm 180 grain VLD is close enough.

The recommened twist for the JLK 7mm 180 VLD is a 1-9".
