i saw somewhere that a handloader was turning the head of cases using his wilson case trimmer. never thought of doing this, but i can see how it might help if there is varying thickness of a case head...this would malorient the case on the boltface with the case angled in the chamber if the case was full length resized. not sure if there is enough "slop" of the case to mal orient the bullet. tried this last night and it can be easily done with the wilson...simply turn the case holder around and turn the trimmer just a little and you can see brass being taken off with a slight variance around the head's rim. may be helpful with factory/range brass but suspect lapua and norma should be more precise. witchcraft or helpful?
