No sir. I can chamber normally with new (unfired) brass.Does your chamber have a tight neck that requires fire forming prior to even chambering the round?
Thank you!If your loaded round neck measured over the pressure ring is at least .002 under your neck measurement then id fireform first then turn. They will be straighter and more consistent after firing once
If you fireform with a 22 bullet or no bullet then expand and turn youll make beautiful casesNeat question. I have done it both ways with 6ppc. With the .262 I turned first. I have been testing fireforming first with the new .268 reamer.
Thanks. I Will give it a try. Kind of late on this round. I just finished fireforming 50 cases and loading and sealing 28 more to fireform. If you fireform with a 22 bullet or no bullet then expand and turn youll make beautiful cases
Works better than any other methoddusty, fire form with .22 bullet?? Never heard of doing that(on purpose)???
Well you take a 220 russian and load a 22cal bullet in it then fire it. On a dasher and brx i use the false shoulder method with a light 6mm bulletDusty,
I used about every method I can think of to ff brx, dasher and brdx but I never have used 22 bullets what is your exact method? Thanks in advance.
