Forum Boss

Administrator
Well, folks, here's the moment you've been waiting for...

We selected the top 20 targets we received for the TURKEY SHOOT. Each target was blind-coded with a letter of the alphabet then we used a remote random letter generator to pick the winners.

First Prize Winner,Krieger Barrel Certificate) is R. Zwahlen

Second Prize Winner,8 lbs. of Hodgdon/IMR Powder) is N. Schlag

Third Prize Winners,Each to receive box of Sierra Bullets), in the order selected are:

R. Amos
M. Kavanaugh
J. Gates
J. Mock
L. Eugene
B. Prosise

For what it's worth, many of the entrants, including winner R. Zwahlen shot a perfect 90 score on the target. We will scan and post a couple of the best targets next week.

Congratulations to the winners!! Thank you all for participating. And very special thanks to our sponsors: Krieger Barrels, Hodgdon/IMR powders, and Sierra Bullets!

Here's the target of one of the bullet winners, R. Amos. And yep he hit all the critters!

Congrats. to all the winners...especially Bob ....I had a ball shooting my target,,the weather was terrible, windy and cold) it made it pretty clear those lil critters were pretty hard to hit...thanks for the opportunity to do some great informal shooting against some of the best in the country ...I appreciate the bullets and will put them to good use...Happy Holidays ..Roger

Will you post the top 20 or at least what score and or group size it took to get in the top 20. That way we will no how much better we have to shoot.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks for having the contest it was a lot of fun!

Thanks Gary

I had my 6PPC hung up for the season when I saw this wonderful postal match announcement. What a tough and exciting target. You could shoot as many as you wanted but could only send one in. I had too shoot many before I got a good one.My special thanks too the sponsors. I have used A LOT of their products. A special thanks to Krieger--terrific barrels. I have three chambered and ready for pickup from Dwight Scott as we speak. Thanks to the guys at 6mmBR for doing all the work.

Shame on you Robert, using a PPC to enter a contest on the 6BR Board! HA HA HA! Just kidding! Merry Christmas. Phil...

HOLLY COW--have these guys been a shootin PPC"s????...for a BR prize...Phil I have shot my BR's against em for 30yrs. now and aint about to quit...the guy that got me shooting benchrest was Jesse Corder,,he used to say "there aint nothin to this benchrest shootin, you just need to know whether to hold to the right or to the left"..pretty basic and 100% truth..Happy Holiday to all the BR guys, and gals) ....Roger

BOB ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZMAN.....I really don't think Bob needs another barrel. I think a set of wind flags would be down his alley.....Good shooting Bob, see you in Portage. Thanks for the shoot guys and thanks to all the sponsers, all who have some of my money in their bank account.

FYI, we didn't actually draw a "Z" to pick Bob as a winner. On the East Coast, Targets were scored, then the Top 20 were shuffled and assigned a letter from the alphabet A-T. Then, in California, we used a random letter generating program to do the drawing. The "letter-picker" had never seen the targets to avoid the possibility of any favoritism, and a computer program was used to generate the winning picks. It was a letter in the middle of the alphabet that was picked that corresponded with Robert's target.

I sure had a fun time shooting the targets.. I had so much fun that I shot 4 targets.. I still think those chickens step to the side when you shoot at them. THanks 6br for the contest & would sure like to see more of these..

Sincerely

Brent Prosise

I also appreciate you guys taking your time to put on such a shoot and especially taking the extra time to arrange for prizes. Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas, Kavanaugh

Are you going to post the top 20 qualifiers and there scores...Thanks

We are waiting for cross-country mail delivery of the best 2 or 3 targets, which we'll photograph and post. There were quite a few 90s, but we want to encourage people to participate in future contests even with less than perfect targets. If you want your individual score, I'll ask for that.

Did you ever post those targets?

:):):):):);)Somebody keeps reviving old posts. I'm going for the record "oldest post brought back to life".
