I ran out of my last lot of moly coated Sierra bullets so I had to resort to buying naked and having a good friend coat them with danzac.
So the tuning begins all over. My last load was 31.0 grains with the Sierra moly. So I started at 31.0 grains and tuned seating depth. The seating depth tune was done at 300 yards and from there I began tuning at 500 yards for powder charge.
My first 500 yard session left me guessing mainly due to the wind. So today I went back out to 500 again and tested different powder charges once again but starting higher and going higher on the powder charge.
Sadly with the 22 BR AI the tune window is much narrower over the 6 BR AI but one thing for sure when it’s in tune and pushing the 80 grain sierras at over 3250 FPS its a laser.
Below are the test results over the past three days at the rifle range.
