I got the chance to impact plate some 60gr 22 caliber & a small batch of 39gr 20 caliber bullets..The process explained by genorous members here works well enough...WS2 coating on regular hunting bullets can easily be done by anyone with a tumbler, steel shot & the time to clean & dry the projectiles before impact plating...The coated bullets end up looking like cast lead bullets..Other than making them slippery as eels [& messy dusty]no difficulties were encountered loading them...The rough barreled 22-250 was acting up this week so other than preventing fouling in that tube & ease of cleaning I have no targets to post up for you all to see..As for the 20 caliber ...I'm thinking it is a good idea to use this material..My groups were only in the .400 range this week but very consistant & round..No trace of copper could be found after cleaning & shooting 20 rds of the WS2 coated thru that Pac-nor barrel...Others here have made me aware it may be advantagous to adjust the powder charges to get best accuracy So I will be doing a series of charges slightly above & below the load I had settled on for that 20 tactical...more on all this as I get to do more testing...thanks for the helpful suggestions...mike in ct
