Cleaning Barrel for Coated .20's

Maybe this is better in the reloading section, seems more related to the small bores though. I don't know.. but here goes.

I'm shooting WS2 coated .20 caliber bullets in my .20 Practical. What's the best way to clean after coated bullets? I've never really shot them, so just wondering. Clean like I would normal, then run a coated patch down it, or fire a couple to recoat the bore?

I am going to be using HBN on my .20 P. I was told to clean as normal and finish up as you stated with a "coated" patch.

Normal cleaning.
But if you wish to pre-foul the bore, wash the cleaned bore out with the best alcohol you can get. Let the bore dry and run in a dry bore mop saturated with WS2 powder, burnishing it in with strokes. Put the clean dry pre-fouled bore back in the safe, ready for next cold bore shot.
I've been doing this, with WS2, for at least 30yrs.

I store bore mops in larger cal clear tubes(that we purchase them in), with BBs and another pinch now and then of WS2 powder.. The tube is flexible, and you can squeeze it to hold the mop wile screwing a cleaning rod onto/off of it.

Excellent tips. Thanks!
