Tula primers

To start, I know these primers are the same as Wolf. That being said, Any body care to share their opinion on their actual use of these primers and in what application(s). The PowderValley offering of free shipping and hazmat has me wanting to save a few bucks.

All is appreciated,

I dont see why you couldnt try them, thet probably work just as good as any other primer, just reduce your load alittle to be safe and work back up.

I shot them a lot in one of my 6br's and never noticed any difference over using the Wolf primers that I normally used..

God only knows. They are the cheapest out there and yet they are better than cci, fed, rem, win?

I just ordered some (because of the sale at PVI, and good reports from actual users). I intend to use them in my 6br. I'm anxious to try them, but may not get to it for a few months...

I'm curious if others have tried them in the 6BR, and what their results are. I like what Preacher said about them above, but would like to hear more!

The biggest deal is the price over any of the other ones... especially when any of the others just were not available awhile ago.
They have also given me some of my best velocity spreads...
I also played around with the LRM's in a few of my big guns and the outcome seemed to be the same-- A darn good primer for the price, as long as you make certain they are seated where they should be......

The Russian product primers (any size, regular or magnum) have been available here since about 2002 or 2003 I think. Guy who started importing them himself was Bob Jones, the same fellow who makes iron sight lens inserts for service & match rifle shooters. They quickly earned a rep in BR circles for their consistency of ignition while also being finicky if not seated HARD. Over time they were picked up by PMC then Wolf, reportedly all made on the same production equipment in either Murom or Tula plant.

I've used & still have some of the original KVB branded LR & SR type, also Wolf LR from about 2006 & they shoot the same. SR (copper appearance to cups) tend to crater in my gas guns. Magnum reportedly just has thicker cups with the same type & level of compound so results ought to be the same with either though the thicker cups may be advantageous if you shoot really hot loads.

Got a bunch on the special that PV was running no hazmat no shipping if you got 10K's worth. Been using them in my .45 ACP and 357 Mag. Can't tell the differance in accuracy from my same loads using Fed GM or CCI primers. Only differance I've detected was the cost.
