Tubbs TMS bullets.

My shooting partner has used the TMS in his 6 mm rifles. It certainly helps smooth the leade of the rifles. U can get similar results using JB bore paste and working the throat area.
I clean with IOSSO every time I clean barrels chambered in cartridges that are hard on throats. I am not sure it is the same as a TMS bullets though.

Yes sir, I have been using them for better than 10 years now on Krieger barrels in .223,6mm,6.5 and 30 cal.

My opinion is the newer TMS pills are not as effective as they used to be ..more of them required to accomplish the same results . I use the Final Finish bullets first because the abrasives are more aggressive and are more effective smoothing over the fire checkering in the throat section then follow up with 3-5 rounds of TMS . I have never used the FF to the extent Tubb suggests and have found no need to. I run two projectiles of each grit then 3-5 TMS .. 13-15 rounds total. Over the years I have found this to be quite effective for pretty much everything and certainly on the .223 /30 cal barrels. 6 and 6.5 may require a few more rounds of each of FF grits to get you desired results .. again condition of the barrel and how far down fire checkering is in the barrel may be the deciding factor as to how many used. Velocity will slow down after using these in most cases so bumping the charge will likely be required. The barrels will shoot a bit better and you'll see greater consistency over the chronograph. This is generally achieved without pushing the throat an appreciable distance .. usually under .005
I do not use any of these on a barrel until Im getting closer to the end of its appreciable life .. in most cases somewhere around .140 to 150 thousandths of throat erosion or I when see significant roughness . Having said that if the throat is visibly rough in the groove to the naked eye after it's cleaned I wouldn't hesitate to run these through it. I have done this as well on occasion with my Highpower rigs throughout the year in barrels on Long Range Highpower rigs/Palma rifles etc. All my kriegers get pulled and set back, cut and turned down to desired length and contour after Ive burned them up on the Highpower range and converted to hunting or PRS type set ups . Using FF/TMS in conjunction with the setback does keep em shooting very well.

Thanks for the detailed response.

Nope. It's not.

Ps: TMS bullets are the number one (most abrasive) bullet in the Final Finish kit.

No they aren’t. I spoke with David about that and if I remember correctly he said they were number 3 in the kit. I will have to go back and see if I can find the message.

ETA Yup it’s number 3. This is what he said:

“Hi Robert, no the TMS bullets are the number 3s from the final finish”

OP, ihave used the FF(on factory barrel) and TMS rounds and they work well. I used the TMS for initial break in and also about every 300 rounds in one 6mm barrel to test and it kept it shooting very well. I also used some in a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel with about 2800 hard rounds though it and it smoothed the throat out nice and keep it accurate another 800 rounds and then I ended up selling it.
