Tubb rifle

I see that Creedmoor and McMillan no longer list the Tubb T2K rifle for sale.......? What's going on? I was wishing one for Christmas. :'(

I believe one can still order one through McMillan. $5000.
Try gotxring.com. Gary Eliseo turns out a quality product that is adaptable to a variety of actions (custom or factory) and disciplines. A ready to compete repeater can be put together for around $2300 plus sights if you are handy. Closer to $3500 if you have someone else assemble it for you.
My Barnard single shot version is comfortable, easily adjustable and very accurate.

I can't speak on the wiener dogs but I can say I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Elsieo tube gun, oh wait I am! Like mentioned above, you can go with a high end custom actions(pierce, borders, deffiance) and still be cheaper than a Tubb and they will both shoot little tiny holes.

Re: the tube guns. Mine's built on a Pierce action. The barrel (aka "truck axle") is a Krieger. John Pierce is very familiar with the tube gun assembly and does an excellent job for a fair price. If anybody's interested in buying the truck axle (which has < 100 rounds), I'd be pleased to sell it. 1.25" straight (no taper). Chambered in 6BR and fitted by Pierce. I'm looking to replace it with a medium Palma (or whatever reasonable contour) barrel for prone shooting, rather than the rig being suited only for bench work as it is now.

Re: Gary Eliseo, he's one of the good guys, and builds an excellent product, and maintains a positive attitude and fairly cheery demeanor despite being based in southern California at the moment.

My next project is to build a long action on the RT10 pictured with the T2k for you sharp-eyed readers. Still pondering chamberings, but it will likely be .30-06 Improved (even though German Salazar says the .30-06 cannot be improved!) or .284.

To the OP, I wasn't joking about the posting of a WTB ad. You just might uncover one. They're not getting any cheaper!

I have two Eliseo stocks.. With Barnards to go in one and a Rem in the other.. I am thinking that if I get another action for the R1 stock.. I believe that I will go with the Borden action.

Nothing wrong with California guys. We have ARs for High Power just like everyone else. Gary's shop is not ten miles form my house and I see him at Long and Mid-Range comps all the time. WEather is great and we shoot year round. I have no idea why everyone thinks we are handicapped for firearms here! Massachusetts, Hawaii, Michigan and New York all have worse gun laws than we have. The folks who dictate "no sales to California" are only stopping legitimate sales - no one is registering sales from out-of-state!
There, I feel better now...
Must calm down, have a match tomorrow. IN December. With no snow or rain. Temps in the mid-70s predicted...

I too am one of those "scary" California guys. I am a Forum member, NRA Life member, love guns, target shooting, hunting in the Sierras, etc. etc. In fact, there are lots of us and we are the same as the rest of the gun lovers out there. Please don't let the "anti-gun" crowd divide us. It really is United We Stand! Just saying. :)

Back on track with th OP.

I emailed McMillian, and David Tubb , I asked them both if they plan on supporting the T2K platform that a bunch of us have invested in.

Just before McMillian took the T2K off their site they raised the price to 6995$., I had a discussion with a gentleman I have always worked with in the factory, an he said they were continuing to build the rifle. That was 1month ago.

At the time creedmore didn't know of the listed price hike at McMillian, and were still selling thm for 5k. Not now.
Only place I see thm being sold is Tubbs website for 5200$ for the spectaclar version.

Wondering what's happening?

McMillan is probably too engulfed in gov't contracts to care about making the T2K now so they just raise the price to an extreme level in order to slow or stop orders. If someone is dumb enough to pay almost 7grand for one well why not.

Kelly McMillian replied to me about the situation.

Here is his answer about losing supportability of the T2k platform.

Good news from a good company in my opinion.

"Not at all. We have ended our relationship with David and will no longer be using his name, but we will continue to build the rifle under the new name, Alias Target, and will always support the customers that have trusted McMillan."

I don't know about any of that. The only thing I wanted to let everyone who shoots a T2K is that we will still have support through McMillian.

I was not trying to point anything else out as I have no information and its not my place to do so.
