Yes.

It increases the mass of the bolt which leaves it locked up in battery a fraction of a second longer. Its advantages is in my mind, is with heavy bullets shooting single shot like NRA Highpower prone events. ( hence its intended development).

There are a few of them on the line at camp Perry. But like with most folks after time we found its easier to just lower the powder charge...to a consistant accurate load and get some trigger time which is more imprortant than the the doo dads.

Product seems to work nonetheless.

I have been using the CWS with the heavy insert in my AR-based F-TR match rifle for many years now. I also use the C/S buffer spring from Tubb. This is all in an effort to allow me to shoot very heavy hot loads pushing 80gr bullets. The CWS prevents my brass from getting mangled and just kicks it out of the rifle a few feet at 4 o'clock.

Thanks for the question, I hadn't yet found a solution for my over-gassed F-class AR. I'll be using the CS spring and CWS. Once they arrive I'll start the testing and outline them separately.

Theoretically weighting the BC group is similar to reducing gas to BCG, which could be done with a lower powder charge, adjustable gas block, longer distance to gas port, etc... Other than lowering powder charge, this seems like the least expensive next step.

Trigger time is key, but I'll be looking at this to see if my accuracy nodes shift to a higher velocity which will certainly help at longer range.

I was getting terrible ejector marks on my brass and primers looked good. Load was with N140 powder and 77 SMK and held VERY good vertical to 300 and beyond. My most accurate load to date.

I installed a carrier weight and no mor marks. It was turning to unlock with to much pressure still their. Smear type marks and extractor marks went away..

AR-Swipe, yes that is more common that a primer issue. ARs can be tricky to tune, as loads get hotter, the bolt can release sooner. This will save the primer, but swipe the case head with the extractor. This is a high-pressure/bad timing indicator on an AR, that until now I thought was only fixed with an adjustable gas block. Now I know better! Thank you!
