Today I spent 1000 rounds in one afternoon with the RimX. Not a single failure to feed, extract, or eject. I went to chamber one round, and it jammed up in the chamber. Upon removal and inspection, the bullet had a big glob of lead or something on one side of it. Bad bullet. It happens. Other than the trigger not wanting to drop the sear for some reason... it was absolutely amazing. I don't want to stop shooting it, but the wind is really coming up now. This action from @Zermatt Arms is everything I hoped it would be. (except for that damn swept bolt handle) ;) I'll get a run of straight handles made if it's the last thing I do. lol

Specs: TS Customs build - McMillan A5A stock w/hawkins bottom metal. Triggertech diamond (which was having issues). Benchmark 3-groove 16.5 twist 26" barrel, 22LR Primal 2° chamber. Tangent Theta 525P in a Hawkins Heavy tactical 1-piece.

Here's a couple pages full of 10-shot groups, in a pushy wind, with random lot numbers (several) of RWS R50. Some lots shot great, others not so much. The sighters and score box is eley tenex. The top row of top target is eley match. The rest are RWS R50. I'll hopefully get a calm day here in the next few weeks to do some real accuracy testing... after I get a trigger in it that functions properly every shot. lol

If you're in the market for the best 22lr repeater on planet earth... we'll have some in stock in a few months. :) Zermatt RimX is the apex of the 22lr industry!

I thought those were 100 yard targets. Looks like it might give one of my CZs a little run for the money, But its not close to any of my Vudoos. I will have my Rimx back soon. Im having a bartlein and Shilen chambered. I tryed a proof Barrel. But could never get it to shoot good enough. But as with all thing new it takes time to find out what works the best. As far as the action its nice and smooth. Adjusting the stock for the right mag fit took a little doing. It didnt tale long It is in a JAE chassie.. Time will tell

For frame of reference, what are the dimensions of that target?
It's a practice ARA target... so the dark center bull is 1/2" outside to outside.

I wasn't testing for accuracy/precision chief. It was outdoors, and the wind was a very gusty twisty mess, not conducive to that kind of testing. So it was for function, that I was testing.
... and I think there are enough threads about voodoo, so do me a favor and take it elsewhere.

That was what I understood, those were the first rounds down the barrel on a new rifle build. those BM 3-G shoot good don't they, all 3 of my RFBR have them. with one of them having 20K+ rounds thru it, it still did a 11mm group at Laupa in Mesa.

If you're in the market for the best 22lr repeater on planet earth... we'll have some in stock in a few months. :) Zermatt RimX is the apex of the 22lr industry! This is what you said I was responding to what you posted. With my results. I have a RimX. So far my Vudoos shoot better. I will know what it does when i get the new barrels back. When you post that a RimX is the best 22 on the planet and is the APEX of 22lr in the industry. You need to have proof to back it up. Right now it is not. Time will tell

If your are Vudoos shoot so much better, why did you get a RimX? don't see the logic on that

HI NEV i love shooting and playing with rimfires. When something new comes along i like to try it out. I have more 22s than most. I have a B14 that i have been working with. I am now testing it with different barrels. I have every day of the week to shoot. Right now 22s are what i like shooting. I have to do something with all my time. The RimX seems to me to be some thing to work with. It is a good base action. The Proof barrel i had didnt work. So im trying other barrels. As i have said time will tell. I didnt say it was a problem action. I just have to see what works with it. As far as 22 repeater actions i like it. AND IF ANY ONE CAN MAKE IT SHOOT I CAN. I dont have anything else to do. My passion is making 22 rifles shoot. and lot testing ammo.

Ok Thanks for the explanation. I suggest go with Benchmark, order direct from them speak with Ron and you will not look back as far as barrels go IMO

I gave you an easy opportunity to be respectful and keep this thread on course. You seem to have me mistaken with someone that feels like arguing.

Ok... In order for us to argue, I guess I'll have to know exactly what it is you're claiming. I don't recall asking anyone if they agreed with me or if they had any rifles that will shoot better than this rifle I've shown here. What exactly are you claiming? ... because I can't even figure out what your goal is. What exactly are you trying to say? I share my opinion that the RimX is the best available right now. Are you saying my opinion is not valid? Are you saying your opinion is more valid than mine? Are you saying I'm wrong? Are you saying because you have rifles that shoot better than your RimX, that RimX's won't shoot? Are you just trying to stir up controversy by making open ended claims of how what I'm saying isn't true? Are you willing to drive to western south dakota to shoot against me and see just who is the better shooter with the better rifle, that's most reliable?

So before I respond further to you, I'd like to know what it is you are hoping to accomplish by your participation in THIS THREAD? You looking for validation, and someone to say you're the best shooter with the best rifles?

Once you clarify some things, maybe I'll respond to you further. ... because you keep arguing about accuracy and I'm still looking for where an accuracy claim was made.

I am responding to you saying it is the best rimfire action and the new APEX of rimfire. It may well be but right now it is not. Also to To Hi NV i have a call into Penrod precision. Thats who builds my 54 action guns. I working on getting him to fit a Benchmark. But i have not heard back.
