Trying to use my weathermeter with Strelok Pro on Samsung S10

When using my Samsung S10 and the Strelok Pro with my Weather Flow meter, when I connect with the phone the blue dot in the wind /azimuth panel blinks. I saw a YouTube video where the dot stays on steady ? I shoot at different yard ages, so having accurate weather conditions figured in really helps...and though I'd love one, I can't justify the high dollar Krestrel's.... Any help, instruction, etc. would be a big help.....plus, should I have Bluetooth turned on in the phone or not? Thanks, rsbhunter

That means it's trying to connect to.your phone.

Make sure your bluetooth is enabled.

Search for the weather device

Pair with phone when the device is blinking

Then select the proper weather device in strelok

Do I need to download an app to my phone ? It shows I need to, but I've downloaded the Weathermeter app, and it didn't help?...rsbhunter

Downloaded the weather Flow app, same thing, blue dot just blinks...tried with Bluetooth on , no solid dot...? I know it's something I'm doing wrong, just can't figure it out

In your bluetooth menu on your phone are you pairing with the right device?

Also do you have any youngsters in your family to get an extra set of eyes on this issue?

I am able to connect with both Strelock Pro and Ballistic Arc. Are you trying to connect directly to the Weatherflow?

It shows paired with ear buds I have, I "think" I have it now, but I'm going to wait til tomorrow to test....I did delete and reinstall the Steel ok app, might have helped...but it wiped all my rifles....thought I had backed up to my micro SD card, but couldn't import them back..??? Wish I had a 10-15 year old in the house, no I don't. All mine grown and out...the help is appreciated... Will take all I can get....rsbhunter

Strelok Pro can access your smartphone internal barometer, and you pretty much know the temperature. You need to learn to read the wind, which is constantly changing. So you don't need a weather meter in my humble opinion.

I live in SE New Mexico, so wind is aplenty.....and between 200 and 500 meters, it changes, direction, speed, etc...having the temp , pressure, humidity and average wind speed is a starting point...if I was hunting, that would be a different game. And at matches, any "extra" turns into points.....but yes, reading wind is ESSENTIAL in shooting medium to long range....rsbhunter

What is the status of the progress of linking the weatherflow meter?

Also look at the strelok app and you can backup all your profiles

Haven't had the chance to try it, did get it to show up on the " weather stations" section under "settings". Tomorrow I will take it outside in the wind and try to " link" it. I greatly appreciate all the time and effort you have all given to my problem.... Between all of us, I now believe I will be able to use it as intended...rsbhunter

Sweet, if it doesnt work PM me and we can setup a zoom call or something to fix this once and for all.

And @CharlieNC yes you need a weather meter that is external to your phone pulling up the nearest station temp. Since that is relying internet connection to do so. Pretty much knowing the temp isnt knowing it's a guess at best.

Calculating density altitude is a single number that is easy to deal with to record D.O.P.E.

Calculating wind at the shooter is the most important windzone to account for.

Eric32, ex AF TAC , thank you for your service....if I can't get it up and running I'll take you up on your offer....will let you know....rsbhunter

As I mentioned most if not all smart phones contain internal measurement of station pressure, which is not accessing internet. From what I have seen not many users know this; my phone requires an app to read it, and Strelok supports this as well.

ONCE AGAIN! The forum members come through....just tried it, and it works !!! Actually puts the "use this data" weather into my calculations for my rifle and ammo, distance .....this will , I believe make my data alot more accurate as to come ups and wind holds....Thanks to all of you, eric 32, I am also ex Air Force TAC. Weapons control specialist....this is why this forum is such a great place to have...problems are presented, and problem solved... Thanks again, rsbhunter
