The forearm stop on the SEB Neo is too high for some F-Class stocks. In my case, the Ballard Lowrider from Precision Rifle and Tool. I can make it work temporarily by removing the stop and using a hex nux, but then the forearm is butting up against the threads. Yes, could stack nuts too.
The point is, I'm looking for something I can use as a forearm stop that would do a lot of damage to the forearm of my rifle. My limitations are that it needs to be based on a M10 screw & head, because that's that the rest stop channel uses.
I thought of using a narrow head thumb screw, but can't seem to find one quite big enough. The biggest I have found is M6.
The stop arm itself is about 16mm thick and has a channel in the bottom to accomodate the hex head of a screw (or nut) for an M10 sized bolt. So, I am looking for something with about 32mm of total length. If this were a thumb screw, I'd be looking for something with a head that is 16 - 18mm in length and about 16mm worth of exposed threads.
I've checked McMaster-Carr, no luck there. MSC as well. Another option would be an M10 sized knurled or smooth knob (or maybe a cylindrical coupling nut), but the knobs I have found are too large and I have not found a cylindrical coupling nut- just hex. Maybe a standoff would work too, but again, can't find one sized M10.
Any ideas out there?
