A few (several) years back I had just started shooting competition, well as all y'all know the expense was astronomical! Looking at cleaning rod holders I came up with this, probably been around long before me but for <$10 and just a little time you can build a 2 or 3 rod holder. 1-10' section of PVC, 3 end caps, 4 Tees or for 3 rod 4 tees and 2 cross tees. Drill the approiate sized holes for rod guide in 2 of the end caps and you got it! I've used PVC glue and Gorilla glue (both worked even though I felt more comfy with the PVC glue). Of course for the 3 rod you'll need 2 ten foot sections and if something breaks cut and repair with a couple more tees and off ya go.

A good idea. It is interesting how many things you can do with PVC pipe. I use them to store all kinds of things. Perfect for transport of fishing rods as well. When I was interested in archery there were quite a few who made bows out of PVC and they worked quite well.

My portable target stands are pvc. As are the legs/frame on my puppy/training table.
