TRYING OUT THE TARGETTEC CAMERA

Hi guys, Just unwrapped the targettec VT2500 wireless spotting scope. Looks great, all in a neat carrying case. When you open the case the viewing screen is mounted to the inside of the top half of the case, the reciever and transmitter in the bottom half of the case. I took the transmitter out after reading the instructions(which by the way, are very well presented and easily understood) and set the camera out on the front porch pointed at a tractor about 30 feet away. Went back to the screen, hit menu and got a real treat. You can adjust the picture in so many ways that it looks like you will be able to see 6mm holes on two 1000yd targets setting side by side like we have. Going out and try it this afternoon, will let you know how it works. JF

I was impressed with it at the salt lake gun show ,that was why when ask about spotting scope power for the job(forum blog on scope power needed to spot bullet holes at 1000yds) I suggested this as a option..they (6mmbr) put down my name as "Danny K" its "Danny B `coues52..looking forword to your report..I will be buying one also...~Danny

OK dad...

you've had time to shoot and tell....do we have a good system here????? Everyone is awaiting the results...Our buddy Chris Anderson bought the same unit, so we'll ahve two opinions....

Hi Son, Did not get to try it this PM. Will try tomorrow, wind blowing 40mph, colder than Hilary's heart and Matt's gun came back and he ain't happy. Trigger still falls with the bolt. Unit is 2500yd. model and cost 554$ shipped, but that was a gun show price that they aren't offering anymore I don't think.

Also I think someone is selling them on 6BR somewhere

Yeah..I just talked with him...For what he paid, and them being who they are, I'd be pissed to the max over them screwing up the finish on his reciever...not what I expected from them and I feel even worse that I recommanded them...

Jim
