Truck Guns!

I prefer the term "working rifle" because it goes where the work is.....sometimes in a pickup.

This is my first real truck gun. It rode in my F250 muzzle up and butt on the floor long enough on dirt roads for the seat to rub these spots.

6MM and 222 Rem Model 600 R.jpg
Two of my favorites - Remington Mohawk 222 and 6mm Remington.

Bergara BXR R.jpg
Bergara BXR. Kind of new; I haven't wacked much with it.

JP Rifles with Coyote R.jpg
AR with JP Rifles barrel and green Streamlight TLR

PSA AR with Coyote R.jpg

PSA parts gun. This one has whacked a pickup load of stuff. Was also a tractor and ATV gun.

In a WTB ad for a truck gun, someone offered this. I said if the OP didn’t want, I’m interested. I believe is was $450. A take-home Mauser rechambered to 8mm-‘06, bent bolt handle, new stock, double set triggers. Super lightweight, about 5.75 pounds. I had wanted exactly this for several years. At the gunsmith’s for a borescope after buying. That’s his dog .

My Tikka 6.5 CM , it’s a T3x Lite in a CTR Stock for more firepower ( 10 round magazine ) .
This was when it was relatively new , it has a few dents and scratches now from bouncing around in the SxS and Ute ( Pickup ) .

I see you are not from the U.S. but from the Land Down Under. Tell us about that, what looks to be really cool 4 door Toyota pick up. Is it a diesel also? Everyone else gets all the cool trucks!

Great collection. I'm envious of those mohawks.

Yar, a Queenslander... A place where you can at least own a folding stock...and a slingshot too!
On another note, yes to diesel dual cab 4x4 ute...
"Oh What Feeling...Toyota!"

Ya could have kept the Tikka stock and gotten a 10rd magazine from Waters Rifleman Precision {made it OZstralia and metal as well} check out his site. Also does AICS mags as well.

I don’t want to derail this thread , but the Ute is a Toyota 1996 Hilux , 2.8 ltr diesel , 5 speed manual transmission ( stick shift ) , 4x4 dual cab Ute .
I’ve owned it for about 25 years and it is basically indestructible and will go anywhere.
Here’s a photo from a few years ago when it had just got a birthday clean and polish . The P sticker in the front window is because my daughter was learning to drive in it and over here learner’s have to display a Sticker so other road users know that they are inexperienced and learning.

These are awesome, I love the wear and tear on a rifle and still is the one you grab when you head out! That’s a cool Toyota too. I had a 87 pickup that I camo painted and I miss it!

I like to have a cheap single shot shotgun around. Buckshot, slugs, round balls, bird shot. The rifled choke tube is the most expensive part of this gun.

I have a 20 gauge single shot that I'm planning on soldering iron sights on this winter. Chazel makes chamber adapters which would be really handy also.

JD, that's a nice patch of lodgepole you have there. If I was a little younger I would come down there and help correct that fire danger.
As for my truck gun, ...it's a simple Keltec SU16A, it takes a lickin and keeps on tickin!

I know, I know...the wood and steel folks will not like it.
But this old Marlin sat in my safe unused for over 20 years.
Now it goes everywhere with me and gets shot often.
And being in CA, it's super scary to the anti-gun crowd who think it's one of those A-salt-rifles!
