Trouble staying logged in?

Anyone other than me having problems staying logged in day-to-day? Every day I ahve to type my login id and password.

Not holding my mouth right or what?

I'm guessing that you are logged off after a period of inactivity. If a user could log in ONCE and be logged in forever,,, this would skew the statistics for usage of the site. And, although doubful, cost for their hosting could be based on this. Also, site statistics are used to sell advertising (on many sites).
This is just my opinion of what is probably happening.

Travelor,
I see your not new to the forum by any means so, have you always had this problem or has it only been since you bought a new computer? I am logged in 24/7 It just doesn't tally your time unless your active. In the upper left side where you log in there is a box for how long to stay logged in click forever then I think for first time setup there is another box that say's remember password and login name check that and you should be good to go :) If not it is probably a issue with your security system on your computer. Hope this helps.
Wayne.

I haven't had to log in but once since the change over to the "new" format, I have all kinds of "security" the wife put in this magic box that I know nothin' 'bout, all I do is click on "favorites" scroll down to "Accurateshooter.com" click and I'm here.

Thanks guys, this morning when I came here I WAS logged in from yesterday.

Maybe, whatever it was, is fixed now for me.

George,
Do you have any software installed that routinly does maintenance on your PC like wiping IE cache files, IE history, and other garbage?
I use a program called AUSLOGICS Boost Speed that I have scheduled every night to do this type of maintenance along with defragging the HDD. This is why I have to log-in every day.
Just a thought.
Barry

Travelor,
I am still running windows xp on the laptop I use @ home with no problems. Are you using windows 7 ? Have you allways had this problem since your first post on 6br
(by looking @ your stats that would be a lot of loggins :)) or has it only been since you bought a new computer or opperating system for your old one?
Wayne.
