It’s not completely over yet , just round one. The does will keep coming into heat until they are serviced and it takes.

Agreed, but with all the shooting of opening weekend, it puts a big damper on things. Throw in standing corn and it's tough.

Bucks were chasing does all over my place in south Texas today. The right one didn't show up, however...

Saw two bucks during my afternoon stand. Neither chasing does. There was a doe in the general vicinity of the bigger buck. I had no chance for a shot at him, but I know where he's living. Seen him twice in 3 days. Going to have to give up my comfy stand and trade it in for a cold hiney! I let a smaller buck walk. Had him broadside at 320.
