Tripod...

I'm bought what I thought was a good tripod, it's a Vanguard model and it was just over $100. Well I recently upgraded my cheap scope that was an angled eyepiece to a new Razor with a straight eyepiece. Problem is I have to raise the center post and quickly realized this tripod is a POS.

So my question is...what tripod? Anyone have any suggestions of something that is really stable and really good...thought I would check with y'all before I broke off and spent way more money than I should just to ensure I don't buy another POS.

I use one of these to support my chronograph. It is very strong and stable. Designed to support 26 pounds Used should be fine.

I use a Manfrotto like the one above, but it's not carbon fiber, 055XPROB. Works really well for my Razor using a pistol grip head.

Got it for a good price on Craigslist.
