I have a shadow tech tripod and hog saddle that I got as a package from them. I've used it a lot for shooting and never had a problem. I recently got my first spotting scope so now I need a way to attach it to my tripod.
I figured if I'm getting another tripod head I would consider the newer stuff thst let's you clamp arca or picatinny rails for shooting. Online the really right stuff anvil seems to be the go to recommendation but I was wondering if it's really worth the $400+ since I'm mainly using it for spotting scope with the option to try out clamping a rifle in. Is it amazing or is there a cheaper head I should get for my spotter and stick with my hog saddle on the uncommon occasion I need to shoot off it?
