Trijicon Accupower 4.5-30x56 Review

No sense in discussing the Crimson here and now. I dont have the optic yet. I was just giving a heads up. We can wish, guess, plead, and complain but there wont be any answers or explanations until I have the scope in hand. I'll make a new thread for it after I give it a good look

Ledd, sorry for bringing back an older post, buy I'm close to moving on a Trijicon FFP and wanted to see if you were still high on this optic. I'm convinced that the glass is great, but am more concerned that the internals are as good as advertised. It will go on my 6.5 Creed, shooting 600yds from bench. Non competition , just for fun and relaxation. Replacing a Tract Toric UHD that just doesn't have enough power for my old eyes.

Thanks...

Yes I still highly recommend it. Glass is amazing, holds zero perfectly, and tracks like a dream.

Have to chime in again here. Got the Trijicon Accupower 4.2-30x56 FFP on Wed, got my MPA mount in the mail yesterday, and went to thew range today. As Ledd Slinger stated in his review, this scope is quite the pleasant surprise. Question was asked earlier was it close to the ATACR, and I could see no difference between my NF and the Trijicon. Clear at 600yds on a muggy morning. The LOW glass has to be very close on most high end optics, with the difference being on the internals. If it holds zero, and tracks as good as my ATACR, I got a very nice piece of glass for a lot less money.

Farmer Dave, Thanks for that report. I'm going to test my ATACR tomorrow. I will need a couple of scopes in the near future and I appreciate your comments abut the Trijicon Accupower very much.

Nice. Yeah it's one hell of a scope for the money. I still cant find anything I dont like about it.

Did you happen to see my tracking test at the end of page #1 in this thread? My Trijicon tracks like a fine swiss watch ;) Still havent conducted a recoil test on my scope checker yet, but I have been shooting the scope on a large magnum and do not see anything in the groups that might indicate reticle movement.

Looking forward to your feedback after you put your Triji through the paces with shooting and tracking. Best of luck.

I Am going to watch this thread. Very interested in trying one of these.

I have the Nightforce 5-25 sfp with the MOAR-T reticle. Am very wary that I will be disappointed if I try anything else. lol

Whenever I try out a new optic, I always make sure to buy from a trusted source that allows for no hassle returns. That way if I dont like like it, I simply return it for a refund

Great review and thanks for taking the time to put it together. I have avoided Trijicon for a while now after owning two of the original 5-20 ‘s as the glass was not up to the level I would expected for the pricing they were asking.
They obviously have stepped up their game.

I had a Trijicon Accupower in 5-50x56mm ,Its optics were okay. I'd say between a Sightron S3 and a Zeiss V4 . Now I have a Delta Stryker 4.5-30x56mm FFP . I wonder how the both compare ? My delta no doubt is a step above the Athlon Cronus BTR ,but two steps behind my Nightforce ATCAR .

I don’t know. I never had that variant of the Delta. LOW offers different levels of glass for their customers to choose from so not sure if the Delta glass is the same as the Trijicon. The turret mechanics and finish on the scope tube are not the same so who knows what else Trijicon chose to do differently than Delta.

I was shooting my 300 NMI at 871 yards with good conditions and could see every 30 cal hole I made in the paper with my Trijicon turned all the way up to 30x. And my right eye isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. I was calling out the point of impact of every round before my shooting partner confirmed it in my spotting scope. Can’t ask for much better optics than that.

My Trijicon 4.5-30x definitely stands nowhere ‘behind’ the NF ATACR. They probably have the same top shelf glass since both are made in Japan.

I now also have the Trijicon Tenmile 4-24x50 and it’s a great super solid scope. Even tho it is made in the same Japanese factory as my 4.5-30x Accupower, the glass in the 4-24x is not quite as sharp. I’d bet Trijicon opted for a step down in glass quality with the 4-24x which is most likely why it has a lesser price point.
