Triggertech diamond

I own 2 Triggertech Diamond triggers and had the chance to shoot a friend's rifle he built with a

RISE Reliant Pro Rem 700 Trigger. I was so impressed with it, I purchased one and installed it on my last bolt action build. It looses nothing to s TT.

What’s the pull weight on it? Never had handled one of their triggers.

Triggertech does not recommend the Diamond series triggers for installation on Remington 700 actions, it is designed for custom Remington clones.

Most likley due to Remingtons having tolerance issues.

It’ll be going on a bergara action. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Ended up buying one from optics planet. They have 22 of them in stock at $249. If you buy through their app, they had an 11% coupon, free shipping and I have a handful of OP bucks. Ended up getting it for $232. If it wasn’t for Illinois charging everyone out of state sales tax, I would have got it for about $215. Oh well. Still a decent deal.

I have two TT Diamond installed in 700 factory actions. No issues at all, maybe I got luck.
Fantastic triggers.

Any recommendations on other triggers just outta curiosity? I have had jewells and didn’t love them. I have a Bix n Andy Dakota in a hunting rifle. I have also been researching their tac sport pro. Im open to other options!
I have a couple of bix and Andy competitions and a couple tac sport pros. After having "others" the only thing I can complain about is the price.

The tac sport pro has a huge pull range without having to swap springs. Easy adjustment so you could have it at 2oz for load development and 1.5lb for the field without pulling the action out the stock. You can add or remove the safety and bolt stop so it's versatile for different applications in the future.

I'm struggling to feel the difference between the tac sport pro and the competition so would be happy to run one as a backup or a first in line trigger for an f class gun.

I think the Diamond isn’t for Rem700 because it doesn’t have the bolt release for a stock R700
According to their tec/cs people I talked to, it's do to the iffy timing on factory 700 actions.
But ya a bolt release would be nice but not really an issue for me.

I believe the Diamond doesn't come with a bolt release either.

If you like some over travel Bix n Andy Tac Sport or competition, if you dont Trigger Tech.
I don't get the desirability of overtravel on a trigger. I guess it's coming from an ISSF pistol background, where any overtravel is a no=no, as your finger is still moving during the firing event. I had this conversation with my gunsmith - also a pistol shooter - who commented on the lack of triggers with an adjustable trigger bar position. I have a few - a Timney benchrest, an Adam Davis trigger from Australia. and the Barnard triggers on Model P and a Barnard Tikka trigger on a T3. Getting my first Triggertech Diamond next week...

The argument for overtravel is that your finger/hand doesn't come to a sudden stop which could disturb the aim.

Because in pistol it's completely supported by your grip, maybe overtravel has more effect than the sudden stop of the trigger. I'm completely guessing, but it might also vary by discipline.

I replaced 3 triggertech diamonds with bix tac sports. You can get them about the same price if you shop around/be patient, and they'll net you about 18 thou more pin fall (why I replaced them)

Pretty sure you can't, the Diamond doesn't have the groove in the side plate for the release lever.
Not unless they changed recently.
You are correct and thank you for clarifying. I got it mixed up with the other models I have. I do have a Diamond but thought I had read that they come both ways. My mistake.
