Triggertech diamond in bergara issues…

So I had the other post going about triggers and bought a diamond. It is supposed to be here next week. We went to shoot today and my buddy had one new in the box and told me to throw it in the rifle and just give him the new one that’s on the way to replace it. I installed it in the brand new Bergara BMR-X. The front hole of the trigger slid right in the action and the pin went right in. When pivoting it down to line up the rear hole, the trigger fit tight in the action to where I had to force it in. When installed, it drops the firing pin like the sear let’s go when closing the bolt no matter what weight you have it set on. If you open the bolt it wil recock it, you can put the safety on, close the bolt with about any amount of force, the sear holds, and you can take the safety off and the trigger functions and dry fires like it should. I’m assuming the housing is binding and pinching the sear engagement area. Has anyone experienced this in any type of action? I installed a triggertech special in a buddy’s 700 stainless 243 and it wouldn’t fit. We had to sand the housing down little by little to make it fit. It obviously voids the warranty I’d say but it’ll never be taken out of that gun. Looks like it might have to happen for mine. Any input is much appreciated!

Was there a rough edge on the action were the trigger fits?

Haven’t been able to check yet today. Talked to another guy that said he had to file the trigger housing down. I had to to go the same to a Special model on a rem 700. They made the rear of the trigger hanger slot too narrow. If I remember correctly the diamond housing is a few thousandths wider than factory. I will check if it has a lip on the action though. If it does I’ll smooth that off instead

Just pulled it apart and there is no rough edge to speak of. What yours real pronounced or no?
Yeah right at the edge, when I tried to install trigger the ridge was trying to scrape the powder coating off the side plate so I took a nail file board I stole from my wife and took it off then the trigger fit fine.

You were 100% right. I was going to start sanding on the housing but thought what the heck, might as well Dremel on a new action instead. I took a fine abrasive cone bit and skimmed all the way around the edge of the trigger hanger opening. Just two passes to bevel the edges. Trigger slid right in. Functions perfect. Set it right around 8oz. See if the groups tighten up from the factory 2.5 lb trigger. Thanks for the info!
