i am wondering what the trigger pull should be set at for a remington 700 acc-sd

Do you mean what the factory sets them for before distribution, or what the average weight set by users is?

If I'm taking a rifle in the field, I prefer 1.5-2 pounds.

ETA: I just realized that this is in the competition forum. If you specify the shooting dicipline that you participate in, I'm sure you'll get more to chime in.

I have a X-Mark Pro trigger set at 3 1/2 pounds

You can get used to anything but eventually you will buy jewel or some other brand that you can adjust down below 1 lb. Safely. Mike
