New Trigger Suggestion?

Has anyone tried a CG Jackson tactical trigger yet? if so, how are the adjustments? The only 2 stage trigger i have experience with is on my TRG-42.
Thanks

The CG Xtreme triggers wont fit to the BAT... Checked into it about a month ago and talked with the new owner and he said sorry cant sell ya a trigger that wont fit your action with out some major rework...... Great guy to chat with and I was really stoked to try his trigger, but was not to be..

Updated info guys.

Finally got this rifle put together and broke it in yesterday, while doing a little load development at the same time. I had installed a nice Shilen trigger into it, and got it down to 1#-6oz. Man that sucker feels heavy on this rifle. I don't know what it is, but now I see the light.

Ima gonna wise up and take y'alls advice and spring for an HVR. Set to 8oz, I should be good to go.

I have 3 other rifles set at less than 1-1/2# and they feel like if you breathe on them, they go off. But this one at less than 1-1/2 takes forever to break. Don't know what the difference is, but there IS a difference. Jewell it is.

Thanks again to all who offered advice.

This is an old thread, but I use Kelbly triggers and consider them better than the Jewell or others for F-Class. They are still making them, it may be a bit of a wait, but worth it.

As Larry noted, there are Jewell alternatives. A Jewell BR that has been reworked, as Speedy Gonzales does, is a very fine trigger. The best that I have used is an Austrian Bix'n Andy, which is on my current F-Open rifle. It is also twice the price of a Jewell but is superior in several ways. Tony Boyer agrees. [br]

Ray, a lot depends upon what you are doing with it. I shoot ~4000 rounds per year, primarily in competition. Along with the typical two barrels, those items are several thousand dollars. Add powder, primers, cases, travel, match fees, etc. and it is a fair expenditure. If a trigger, even an expensive one, provides a better, more consistent pull, it's worth it to me. It may not be to someone else. I'll take Larry's word that Kelbly's trigger is good, Larry knows his subject. The only problem with Jewell's current production is that they are a little more variable than they once were. Reworking them correctly produces a fine trigger, but increases the cost. My view is that, one way or another, you're going to pay for it. Again, it just depends upon what you're trying to accomplish.

I am not saying that it isn't worth it, but not having ever handled one I can only go by my opinion on the Jewel..I can't see where they are sold, except Ebay.

Bix'N Andy, I found some..Extra hundred for a safety..

No, they are sold at bulletcentral.com, the link I posted above. They are in stock, I bought mine there. If I decide to start shooting my Shehane again, I'll get another one.

I have a CG two-stage on a Borden/Eliseo Tube Gun and it works great. The problem with my F-Open rifles is that I barely touch them with my right hand. Anything heavier than about two ounces doesn't work for me.

Yep, that's that I ended up with on my Panda, but I do like what I've heard about those Bix'N'Andy triggers. I usually run a total of 6oz (1st stage takeup + 2nd stage break) on my Barnards and I figure I should be able to replicate that with the CG trigger.

German Salazar wrote a series of articles about the CG that helped me a lot. Here are the links. [br]

Going to have a Bix N Andy as soon as I recover from buying the NF Competition...
