Trigger Shims for Savage AccuTrigger, any one used ?

Trigger Shims for Savage AccuTrigger, any one used ? I'm trying to get my trigger to its lowest setting without having it lock up all the time and I'm wondering if these might help?

hate an accutrigger tried a rifle basic savage 2 and that thing would fire when you closed the bolt sometimes. have a SSS benchrest trigger now. it works.fine but no safety. its on a bench gun so no problem

wish someone would make a decent trigger for a savage.

I have 2 of the Savage Target Actions with the AccuTriggers in them. I have shimmed both of them to get a consistent trigger pull with out having the AccuTrigger lock up on me when pulling the trigger.
I believe I have both on mine in the 8-10 oz's range if I remember correctly- it's been a while since I shimmed them and checked trigger pull.

I ordered my trigger shims here- www.triggershims.com

Note: I only shoot my rifles from a bench and only load a cartridge when the rifle is pointed down range when the range officer has declared the range is hot. 6-8 oz's to me is a hair trigger and only safe for Bench Target Shooting.

Hello. Thanks for your post. I just ordered nylon shims. I was wondering if they can be allowed to free float.
Have a great day. Jihn
