SELLING Trigger Jobs for Rem 700

ELR LVR

Silver $$ Contributor
Hey Gents,
I work on other triggers but specialize in Remington 700 Walker Style triggers.
I can tune your trigger and then adjust to your desired pull weight down to as low a
Safe 1 lb. pull weight.
Safe means it will not go off if you slam the bolt closed.
Most people don't understand the type of work or amount of hand work required to tune a trigger and still have it remain safe. Many guys simply try adjusting screws and bugger them up in the process and think all that's required is to adjust it until it's light...that's where Rem got a bad rep from guys that don't know what they're doing. Look at watch makers videos and if a guy can't do any of those things he shouldn't be modifying a trigger.
I disassemble your trigger and individually clean each part to remove rust, dirt and caked on old oil
I then perfect and hand stone the sears and polish them.
Each 1 pound trigger has approx 2 hours worth of work put into it.
I Guarantee when you get your trigger back from me it will be the sweetest feeling Factory Rem trigger you have ever touched. A Crisp, clean, no creep instant Trigger Break.
I also sell complete Rem 700 trigger assemblies that I've already worked and tuned
Most are adjusted in the 1.25 to 1.5 lb range.

Trigger Job on Yours:
$75 for a 2lb and above pull
$100 for a 1-2lb pull
$150 to buy a complete tuned Assy from me - adjusted at 1.25 lb
(5+ in stock at the moment, 1 Stainless)

Simply message me and we'll exchange info

EDIT 2/14/25:
Due to recent issues with USPS damaging boxes and lost items
FULL DISCLOSURE:
I am not responsible nor will I absorb any losses for how "YOU" ship "YOUR" own items
heavy emphasis on YOU and YOUR, because it is YOUR responsibility to ensure your package stays in tact.
Insurance on an item does not ENSURE.....it will not get lost or damaged
You nust ship anything as if you expect them to be rolled between conveyor rollers and a large TV slammed on top if it
Any broken items I receive,... is not my responsibility to repair if something was not shipped properly.
I will send any broken items back to you and it is up to you to deal with the shipping dept you used.
FYI, people report FEDEX has been best
-----------------------------------------------
And as USPS would say
"Thanks for your patience and understanding and we will try to do our best in the future"
John

Not a chance for anything under 1 lb SAFELY on a Walker Style 2 lever trigger,
The physics just wont work to get them much below 1 lb. due to where the leverage, fulcrum points are and being able to reset the sear
You would Need a 3 lever design trigger such as a Shilen/Jewell etc for anything lighter
I am looking into later. someday maybe, even as a fun project
converting Walkers over to 3 lever design
But that is not a priority of mine right now and people may not even be willing to pay for what it would cost to do this conversion which would then allow a 2-4 Oz pull
Considering one could buy an aftermarket trigger of some sort for $250 -$300
But if enough people want it done I may be able to do so for around $200

How about the new Remington triggers? Can you get them to a pound and feeling good? I’ve got buckets of them!
The X Mark Pro?
Tell ya what, I tried to once, and gave up strictly because its like they use green loctite on their adj screws
Green loctite is the equivalent of being welded.
I think they put screws there just for looks and to let people think they were still putting out adjustable triggers.
I instantly swapped that trigger out for a Walker and vowed never to even fool with another "Lawyer" Trigger
BUT..If you can get the screws loose (all 3) I will see what I can do for ya

I figured I may as well post a couple examples of the kind of groups that are possible with my triggers.
These were shot with 2 different 22BR's during a recent seating depth test
These are only 3 shot groups since it was just a seat depth test, so why waste ammo if it aint grouping immediately right?
The first group is in the .1's
You can do it too!

Bump,
Am getting more triggers soon so more will be available
-Anybody need a Tuned Rem 700 Stainless Trigger?
I get a call for a stainless one once in awhile so want to prepare before hand
FYI their Stainless triggers are also the same as the Muzzle Loader Triggers, I can find no difference whatsoever between the two.

how about a Rem 788 trigger can you tune up one of them?
Yeah no problem but they are not as nicely engineered as a Walker so I wouldn't expect much better than
2lbs for a 788
Same thing for a 660 /600 = not as nice of a trigger
I'll PM you my address
John

I want to also make sure everyone is clear and understands.
Once you order a trigger from me I will send you an invoice through email
This is how I process CC payments online for my business with a Merchant Account
The same as if you ordered from Gunbroker, Midway or Brownells
You pay with a CC/ATM Card
The people at Midway USA do not see your card number, it is processed through encryption and all that jazz
I also do NOT see your card number when payment is made neither
It is simply processed through whats called a Merchant Account
That's how business transactions are handled online these days
I won't hold a trigger indefinitely just because someone says they "want it"
it must be paid for
Thanks for your orders!

Update : X Mark Pro Triggers
Since many are requesting and asking if I will work on X Marks....
I went ahead and procured a couple of them for destructive testing
and tackled an X Mark trigger this week
Successfully got it down to a safe 2 lbs
They are still non-desireable triggers but if thats what you want to use I can do them
-------IF,,,,,,they are the adjustable type
I will show a few pics of one issue I see with the X Marks
Quality is just, bad, crap, QC almost non existent
They are more of a pain in the butt to work on than a Walker
However they are still a nicely designed trigger in many respects.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1st pic is showing how the sear alignment is so off in parallelism
What you are seeing is light coming through almost all the way across the sear surface until they contact in one corner.
the sear surfaces only touch in one corner on this particular X Mark
(And if this is the first one I've dealt with and it is this bad, I can bet many are like this
When I have never seen this with a Walker trigger.)
This gives a false heavier poundage as all the down force is concentrated into one small area cocking the sear sideways against its pin as well as providing an uneven twisting force on its pivot pin.
Still it was able to adjust to 2 lbs so I say thats all that matters if a guy wants 2 lbs.
It would take more time and money than its worth to square up the sear surfaces and make it nice
Grinding, stoning, polishing back up etc
So I would touch it up as good as possible to get it to 2 lbs. and leave it alone.
2nd is a close up of this
3rd is a pic of how square and parallel a Walker trigger is

X Mark ID Pics
1st Pic is a disassembled trigger, an X Mark will have a square side window where the safety adjustment screw is located
walkers do not have this
X Marks have a smooth trigger show as shown in Pic 2
Walkers have a wide ribbed trigger shoe
The X Mark models I will work on have the adjustment screws shown in the pics
Some do not have adjustment screws in these locations so are non adjustable.
