Trigger ID

I recently bought a used trigger, supposedly a Jewell, for a Winchester Model 70. It came in a Jewell factory package with Jewell paperwork. When I got it home and compared it to the Jewell in my push feed Mod 70 it is different. It is a different shape but the holes do line up with the pins. I think it's for a Mod 70 but might be a different manufacturer. It has B-50 scrawled on it with an electric pencil.

Hopefully the pictures will post so someone can tell me what it is I have. It has a detachable trigger blade that looks like it will slide forth and back too but the screw that holds it in place looks to be broken off. There's like 4-5 screws that can be adjusted from the underside through the trigger. I will probably be selling it because I'm a little nervous about using it unless I can get it checked out. Thanks.

Steve

Sorry for letting this fall so far. I took another picture of it with the sear installed and a punch for a pin. The back of the sear is straight up and down. The holes are exactly like my Winchester though, so I don't know what I have here. Timney, Canjar, Shilen? Or some other clone? I really don't want to remove my trigger just to find out if it fits. Thanks.

If it`s a Canjar it should have electro penciling on one side of the chassis or the other showing it`s identity.

Regards,

Scott

It has B-50 etched on the side with electric pencil. My Canjar (for Remington) has Canjar printed on the side. Not this one. Thanks.

It looks just like the one in my parts drawer and it is a canjar and so is yours.

My vote is for a Hart....looks a lot like the one on my 700 Remington because of being able to move the trigger to the desired position.

You will need extensive machine work to fit that trigger group to a Rem pattern receiver.

You have an aftermarket Mauser pattern trigger group pictured.

I bought it at a gun show. The man was selling off his deceased friends stuff and he didn't know much about anything. I didn't get his name.

I never thought about a Mauser & I do have one, so I'll take a look at that trigger.

Thanks,

Steve
