Trigger can they be to light?

Good evening everyone,
I have a Rem 700 that I bought of GB a few years ago, it came with a very nice trigger, almost to nice for hunting. I am beginning to think it may be to light for my intended use. I just dont feel that I have the control I am used to in my other hunting rifles. Has anyone else ran into this problem? I can adjust it well enough, just wondered if anyone else has ran into this issue?
Depends on the shooter, highly skilled and calm a hunting rifle can be 1lb all mine are , makes for extreme accuracy, but not for everyone not a blow to anyone you've put it in nicer words, set it at what makes you comfortable, after all you're the one behind your rifle . Many times I had others shoot mine and most missed the target, just not used to it.

I cranked it up to a repeatable 3 lbs. I discovered the over travel had some slop in it that wasn't letting it be as consistent as it could have been. So when it was set at 21/2 lbs it was apparently breaking at something closer to 2. After I took the over travel out and reset the pull weight I ran it 20 or so times, working the bolt completely cycling the action to simulate hunting conditions. Its extreme spread between pull weights was only an ounce or two. I shot it back in after replacing the stock and it shot just like it always has.

If you LOOK at it or BREATH on it and it goes off, it's set too light.
Bench only gun, no problem. Anything else? Asking for trouble.
Done professionally and drop tested you'll not encounter issues, all mine are done that way,I insist on absolutely (ZERO) 0 creep when the trigger is touched.

If the type of hunting and conditions allow you to carry the rifle with an empty chamber and you have time to chamber a round before shooting then maybe yes. If you can't or can't remember to carry it empty then no. Way too many fences to climb and brush to navigate where I hunt to carry one in the chamber. In the magazine yes chamber no.
