trigger assist

hello
I would like to get less trigger pull on my savage rifle that now has a 1.5 IB and would like to know if anybody has tried this trigger assist and if it really works.

thanks matt

I have one on a Cooper.
It enhances my trigger adjustments, by increasing travel/leverage. The inverted trigger works great.

A downside I see is that the setscrews securing it, might indent the trigger guard some. Not bad, but some. Don't ever let a dealer or gunsmith install it,like I did). They'll crank down on it & yadda, yadda, mess up your guard..
My guns are usually kept better-than-new condition.
So I'm getting a new trigger guard in-hand, and will work on mounting with a stainless shim between the guard/setscrews.

It has no spring. Just sets against your trigger.

I like reasonable travel in a trigger. It keeps me from predicting exactly where it'll go off, and then jabbing at it. I also like a little overtravel after sear release, so that my trigger is floating, like my rifle, on firing.

My cooper broke at 1.5lbs, with no travel either way. After playing with it's adjustments I found that this factory setting was the only way the trigger would work safely.
With the trigger assist, my pull is 4oz with reasonable travel, and completely safe as desired.

This little thing is pretty high quality as well. It mounts secure, comes in different widths), and is made of aluminum, shoe & mount), stainless, axis pins), and brass, setscrews).

I'm sure there have been similar devices on the market in the past. In some applications it's a perfect enhancement. But it won't improve every trigger, I'm sure. You'd just have to try it & see.
