cabelas tactical scope?

Looking for an all purpose scope for an AR 20' flattop weapon. Mainly use this for paper punching and a little varmint fun. This is my first 'accurate/precision' rifle and hope some day to move up with all the rest of you BR shooters. Currently using a Simmons mil-dot, and i have found i do not like it at all for this type of shooting.

After learning the hard way and seeing the styles everyone is using i now know what i want,i think) a tactical/target scope?

I know its not top of the line and i will suffer on clarity, but what do you think?

Any other options under $200?????

i cant speak for the centerfire tactical scope from cabelas but i have the one made for the 17 HMR. For under $200 the image is decent, it holds zero, tracks well, and the BDC turrent is spot on for the 17 out to at least 200 yds. If your just looking for something to play with I think you would be ok. I have also had good luck with a Nikko sterling nighteater on a heavy barrel ar-15 for a little more. Good luck with your purchase.
