TRIBUTE TO STAN TAYLOR

I was saddened to hear of Stan's passing in May, he was a great person and gunsmith. He barreled 3 rifles for me in the last few years, fast, reasonable price and accurate ( the results shown on the attachments).
I will miss him.

I was lucky enough to win a barrel at a match and parted off the end that Stan stamped himself. It's been made into a 6 Dasher and will be seeing how it shoots...

I buried a good friend last week. I told another pall bearer friend there that pretty soon we were going to run out of people to talk to about cows and horses with.

Stan was a rock at Douglas and very proud of Douglas Barrels. I do miss my old friend and can say he was a proud West Virginian ! He told me that when he got finished with his tour of service, he could not get back to the hills fast enough. God rest his sole.

He's not really gone, ALL of you remember him and most
likly many more and when you speak of or remember him, it's just like he's there but just on vacation, one day you will see him again, more then I can say for myself at this point someone in what family I have is gonna be pissed because they got stuck with the final arrangements.

Douglas barrels is still in business. He was one of their employees. Call and talk to the owner Tim Gardner and they will take care of you just like always.
