TRG22 - Loads

I'll be at the Phoenix agian this year. Bringing the Sako, but don't know if I have time for the McQueen as I have six f-class matches both saturday and sunday.

Hi Jim,

We are at Bisley this Friday. McQueen 9.30am. We hope to do better this year with one out of the four of us in the final.
We have settled on: Pre-fired Lapua brass, full neck re-size, 37.5gr N140, 155gr Amax, 0.3mm jump. We batch weigh the prepared cases with the primer in - most cases are 180gr but can vary between 177 - 181gr. We also batch weigh the bullets which vary from 155 - 156gr. We settled on 37.5gr in our own right but checking the thread I see you recommended it from the outset! We are getting some good results. Just have to shoot straight on the day! Good luck to all competitors.

Simon

Our best yet. Four of us used the same TRG22 with the reloaded rounds as detailed above. Best individual scores were 55,53,52&52. A score of 55 won the McQueen last year so we cheered when the butts report five fives and five sixes.

When we left this morning,Sunday)the 55 was second place as someone has shot a 56! and the 53 is fourth.

dochoc,

I have used Harris bipods forever and like them a lot - on my other rifles. The cost of the TRG bipod is insane, but I forgot about the $$$ long ago. Fact is, it works a treat. Low C of G, pivots horizontally and for cant, feet work on different surfaces, positive & easy leg adjustments. Sako designed the bipod to enhance the TRGs, and it does.
My mate makes and fits a very good mono pod for a trg22 .It looks the dogs dangles

It’s a rather warm load but my trg loves Sierra Match king 175 with 43.5 reloaded 15 and federal gold primers. I use brass from federal gold medal match ammo or Lapua.
