Yes. Over the past 50 years I've taken 3 out of trees! One about 30 seconds after my friend asked if I ever saw one in a tree!

I’ve shot a couple out of trees.

Also, beaned one off a small diameter sapling, in late winter….. using a long handled ice scraper. Finished him off w/ a nearby dead branch, of sufficient diameter.

Yep, I’ve shot 2 or 3 out of trees, a long time ago on a farm not too far away.

I've seen this a few times also and was amazed by it. But it was too risky to take the shot, no backstop for the shot.

Blow downs are another favorite place for hog boys to climb to survey the area for threats. In one field I use to hunt a hog would climb up on the concrete pedestal of power line tower to check things out before dropping down into the alfalfa.

I shot one off the top of a Roll Bale of hay from the barn loft with my Marlin 39D lever gun while watching for Coyotes. Just over 50 yds and with a Winchester Expediter round; I’m not sure who was more surprised.

Never seen that, but a friend from NM came up to shoot Rockchucks one Spring. He saw one atop a telephone pole. I am not sure what the heck he was doing up there, but my friend drilled him with a 40X 6mm Remington.
If I ever saw one here in a tree, I would be so surprised I would just take his/her picture and walk away.
