I was popping away at 200 & 225 yd steel plates on my backyard range with an old Marlin 880 with a 4x Bushnell this past weekend. It had been many years since I "went long" with the .22. It was fun and challenging, my biggest issue was hearing the strikes...barley audible.
I was doing the same thing yesterday with my 880 Marlin boltaction. I have one in semi-auto also that shoots just as well. I was very successful out to 150 struggled at 200 . This rifle has the wrong scope on it, shot all hold overs after my 100 yard zero on a duplex reticle.
