Trail cam suggestions

Not sure about the newer Moultrie cams but the ones from a few years ago were terrible, I own eight cameras and only two are still working. Moultrie did however repair my very first two purchased awhile back but these models have since been replaced with newer models and support has died off. I think my models were the M80 and M800, I have since switched to Wild Game Innovations from Wally World and have been having good luck with these so far (only 2 years old). I also leave my cams out year long and i'm sure that may have a drastic effect cam life too.

I've gone to cell cams a couple years ago. Tactacam Reveal X is the model I have. I use 4 of them. I love them. Unlimited pics and pay 49.00 a month for 4 cameras. 13.00 for the 1st and 12.00 for every camera after that first one. I can program them from my cell phone. I only return to the actual camera when the batteries die. That's not very often. They take HD pics and have fast trigger speed. They now offer upgraded models but the X is plenty good enough of a camera. If I was going to use a non-cellular camera, it'd be a Moultrie. I have a dozen of them and there excellent cameras. Both Tactacam and Moultrie have excellent customer service also.

The cams nowadays are pretty good. I've tried a bunch of them over the years.

I still have, and use, a 10 year old Reconyx. I just bought two more of them this summer, and have had excellent service, performance, and content from them. They have been by far, my favorite brand. I plan on trouble free use from them until I tip over.

Trigger speed is everything for game and surveillance duty. Anything over 0.5 seconds, hard to capture a license plate or face. Slow triggers for deer elk result in Butt pics if camera isn't correct distance from animal. Many states do have cam use regs, and if they have them for private land, well in their eyes you really don't own the property.

Stop paying property taxes and the REAL OWNERS will take it from you.

I do not have any cell cams, but have had excellent luck with Browning.
Mine are all on private and using 12 volt auxilary batteries.
Only time I have lost a Browning was due to leaking AA batteries.
A couple of mine have been used for 5 years and still working.
