Tradeswind Shotgun-need parts

Well, a friend got a screamin' deal on a Tradeswind H-150 shotgun. :) Seems all it needs is a hammer. Only problem is, everyone that owns a Tradeswind shotgun needs a hammer or so it seems. Is there any of these shotguns around that a guy could get a hammer from or is he just screwed? I've searched the internet for a few days and find nothing. :'(

Yep! Tradewinds were imported into Tacoma Washington..But they went belly up years ago... somewhere around 1970-75 There is no known source of parts..YOU have to find someone parting out a gun or make up the part yourself or have a gunsmith do it. Seems like a lot of money to make a hammer..maybe $300 to $500 Not bad to put a $50 junker back in service!

Ya man I read that post while searching. Seems he's SOL doesn't it. I sent an e-mail to a Bob's gunparts thinking he might have some parts but he has never answered back. Lucky for my friend, he only has 25 bucks invested in this boat anchor. Heck, it would make a cool lamp!

I did a little looking around on this subject. I found one forum post somewhere that said that it was the same as a Franchi mod 48. If the Tradewinds is a 20 ga and recoil operated like a mod 11 Remington/browning humpback, then maybe it was manufactured for Tradewinds by Franchi. I looked at the Franchi website and they advertise the mod 48 as still in production. It might be worth looking there.
