Tracking

I have been hunting ever since I was 11 and am 72, and believe it or not. In all my years have never heard of tracking till I visited this sight. But then again call it lucky have never experience a problem such as this. Now for the dumb question of the week. What is tracking? and how does one check tracking? It just goes to show an old dog can learn new tricks. Lou

Tracking is described as moving the windage or elevation dials a certain distance and then moving them back to where you started... If it came back to the same place then it's tracking just fine..
Also called a box test..
You dial in lets say 15 clicks up and shoot, then dial in 15 clicks right and shoot, then dial in 15 clicks down and shoot, and then 15 clicks left and shoot, when you dial in another 15 clicks of up you should be right back exactly where you started at.. If it don't comply, the scope is not tracking as it should be...
I hope that helped a bit...
