The Vortex Pro series rings are good rings that won’t break the bank. I had TPS in the past and the Pro series is just as good and lower cost than other rings.

Seekins makes some of the best rings in the world. Every centerfire rifle I have wears them. Zero problems after discovering those rings about 12 years ago.

I degrease the screws and run 50 on the bottom 20 on the caps. No thread locker.

I personally avoid anything with a single large nut.

Seekins are excellent. Have used them since 2005 and never an issue. They make the Vortex Precision Matched rings, which are the same ring with a different brand on them. If the Seekins/Vortex are in his price range I would definitely go that route but I thought he was looking cheaper.

I really like the YHM 3 screw.

That said, as many of you know; I am in process on a 300 NM using a Terminus Zeus Long Action. I will be going with the Vortex to take advantage of the diving board to mount an Impact 4000.

You were not specific to materials but if you want something close to their steel rings, Buckeye Optics stainless pair.
