TPS rings and bases

I just bought two sets of TPS rings and bases.

I read somewhere, maybe here?, that some guys weren't pleased with the rings or defenitely needed to be lapped etc.

What's some advice....I wasn't planning on lapping, but is it a must for the TPS rings? I thought I've read that it wasn't necessary for them?

Search button is your friend.

They ringmarked my new sightron even after I deburred all edges. Made well IMO but not made "right". I won't use them again.

Burris Signature rings and you'll never have to lap another set of rings, and you'll never put ring marks on any scope tube. In addition you have the ability of using the off-set inserts when signting-in to keep the elevation and windage close to center. Just too many advantages to not use them.

I'm running a set of their HRT rings and could not be more pleased. Tolerances are tight, but no scope damage that i can see. And I removed the scope from the rings a couple of times to look as I too had read of a couple of folks having issues.
