The sport of shooting has people against it. They want firearms banned. People with money have power or the power to influence. More money, more shooters, more power. So what? Does it matter?

Anything that adds to participation, by shooters or spectators is a good thing. As far as getting paid is concerned, most of us don't, unless we are smart enough to find some way to monetize our efforts. Most of what we do is just to enjoy the small victories. WHI've seen the spectator side of shotgun v. rifle, especially in the kids 4H shooting sports. Parents watch the shotgun kids bust clays. The rifle kids parents don't get to see the target til it's over. . . Unless they have their own spotting scopes (95% that I've seen don't).
Now, the CMP's Kongsberg electronic targets have a live website. I think they've had it for a bit, but it seemed to really get noticed this year for the Eastern Cup and CMP Nationals/National Trophy.
Anybody with internet access and a screen can watch competitors shots impact in real time.
This year I was walking the road between Viale and Rodriguez ranges during the NTI, me and the wife(who was almost 800 miles away) on the phone with each other, watching our son's target. If you can envision a football fan letting out a whoop when a TD is made or the "awww" at a fumble, I think that was me walking down that road when he'd hit an X or drop points. He's got 16 of 30 Distinguished points and was hoping to get 10 more.
Those live update e-targets are about the most exciting thing that's happened to Highpower in the last few years. At least as far as spectatorship goes.
I was kinda surprised hearing about the number of non-shooting folks watching their friends or family's targets.
