Top notch AR15 barrel makers/gunsmiths?

If i got a bartlein, kreiger or brux barrel blank... who is a heck of a smith that knows how to make a AR15 barrel?

From searching i cant find a real good barrel like these chambered in something i want... gotta go custom...

^^ +1 for either. Although with SR season starting wait times may be getting a little longer. I know Scandale stocks Kreiger blanks, I'm sure Holliger does too, though.

Nez Rongero from Austin Texas is very good. He is a High master competitor and made 125 or so Shilen barrels for the TSRA Jr. rifle team that did well at Camp Perry last year. He is an honorable person and great to deal with. 512-300-7021 bambanbarrelbarn@gmail.com

Frank, John and John are pretty much the top 3 in popularity, but don't don't forget about Phil Arrington in Surprise, AZ he is also a well regarded AR smith.

Scandale will do most anything, if you have a reamer you want to use, he will work with that or can get one. I have spoken to him for my builds and he is very qualified, but Service Rifle is the bread and butter for these guys.

Shoot John Scandale an email, he loves new projects. Keystoneaccuracy@gmail.com

Also, if you're looking for different carts but aren't sure, Robert Whitly (sp?) has done some interesting things. 6mmar.com

Do check out Scandale's different wildcats though. 240 Tomahawk, 220 Thunderbolt (similar to 22 Nosler), and a couple others.

You want the 243LBC, same as 6 grendel but no licencing to pay to AA for using the Grendel name. 6x68 might be another good one, 240 Tomahawk (6 hagar based), and I know Holiger has a round very similar but I forget it's name.

Harrison over at ARP does a 243 LBC and it is a button rifled barrel, but they shoot very well and are melonited.

Mike Milli (DTECH) already has his own line of 6.8SPC based "DTI" wildcats, from .22 cal. up to .264 cal. If ya got the specific reamer for your wildcat & don't mind waiting for a top notch build, I can recommend Mike's work very highly...
